Well alot of people have been questioning why we hear nothing from Crowne Plaza JFK and thinking it was because thats the one property they took care of...WRONG!!!! We just receieved the email from someone who would like to remain anonymous:

"I'm a employee at the crowne plaza jfk  and would like to remain
anonomous. we are too a Kronos owned company. We have lost our flag,
have unpaid vendors aggressivly looking payment and we all have
expireanced payroll checks bouncing. My question is how can a foreign
owned company come to America and ruin hundreds of lives with
mismangement, lies, and distrust? Who will be accounted for all of
this mess?
By the way if anyone is looking for these guys Charles, Sunil and
Rohit have all been here at the Crowne Plaza JFK for the last few
days. Looks like these guys are trying to flee the country and live
like kings in there native Malaysia and India with all the cash they
stole from us Americans. Isn't this a form of financial terrorism? If
it isn't I dont know what is."

If anyone has any info on JFK property please send it to us so we can post it.  Newspaper articles, news reports etc...anything.

It surprises me that JFK finally went down, I know that JFK was actually a Pacific Investments property that was under the Kronos umbrella. I do want to clarify one thing though and that is that Rohit is not one of the owners, he was just an employee like many of us were. He was recruited to manage and to do accounting work for kronos but without money he can't do much. When the owners tie his hands and don't allow him having the money he can't do anything. He has been the one blamed for a lot of wrong doing though he has had little control.

Sorry but I will not accept Rohit as an innocent victim.  I have personally dealt with him and he is as slimy as they were.  His exact words to my controller when he was at our property and we were telling him about the bills, payroll etc...was "you need to stop worrying about the bills so much.  They are not going to cut us off, they need us more then we need them"

So no Rohit as the victim does not sit well with me after a comment like that.

I worked with Rohit for months in Cedar Rapids til he got the boot a few days ago. He is fully complicit in a wide variety of these activities.

For the record if you call this property they are still calling themselves a crowne plaza, if you call them and tell them you are having troubles making the reservation online they will tell you they are having some technical difficulties with online reservations and they dont know when it will be fixed.  We have personally verified with IHG they lost their franchise flag on September 29, 2008.  Damn Chuck..how did you let that happen

Dont trust any of them. Rohit especially. He was "forced" on to @JFK with no experience at all. He billed himself as the Asst GM in training but with no credentials. He was just a pawn then but probably climbed their ranks fairly quickly.
As a company they quickly dismantled a decent management team in place and shortly after started using the CP JFK as colleteral and fooling IHG that they were legitimate operations people. Even with Local 6 putting pressure on them they are slow to respond and resolve issues concerning their employees. To their credit they did lobby renovations that brought praises from returning guests. But without the heart and soul (employees) being treated right we continue to wallow in despair until another owner steps in to rescue us. Maybe we can divert $5 Million our way Mr. Bush??

Just send from a source that would like to remain anonymous.
Apparently the sign in the picture is on the Restaurant window of the JFK property...That has got to be embarrasing....

"Checks are still bouncing. some people still have not gotten paid.
Hotels a ghost town only a few guest checking in not knowing what
there getting into. There's no resturant, water, food,no tv since the
cables been shut off. Hotel is being run into the ground"

What a shame that it plays out like this.  Looks like the evil empire is crumbling.  Hopefully they don't take anyone else with them although it will take years to rebuild what they've destroyed in a short time.  What kind of egotistical moron thinks that you don't have to pay bills, taxes, or employees?  The damage that this company has done affects countless people in all walks of life, and has turned good, hardworking, productive people into angry, bitter and stressed.  Apparently someone has their head up their ass (can I say ass? Or would that be slander? Libel? Defamation? Defecation?) if they think they can operate in such a manner.  Whoever wrote this business plan was not #1 in their class at business school.

Ok the Sign is too funny!! But alittle sad at the same time. Because we have to ask what will become of the people there?? Hopefully by year end all the properties will be wearing a similar sign and Kronos heads will have an inmate number tattoed into them. Nothing would be more satisfying or a better way to start a new year!! Lol and Sak if "head up ass" is libel or defamation then I am guilty!!!

Well, I could be wrong here, but the way I see it is that they played the system for the big pot and didn't walk away empty handed.  They leveraged everything, buried it in LLC's, sucked all the money they could (up to and including taxes that were to be paid) which they conveniently made disappear, defaulted on everything, and now nicely sit with their thumbs up their ass with a shitty smirk on their face (apparently some still occasionally suck their thumbs too) chanting their mantra of "I do not understand" and "But we are not liable!".  I would presume their buddies at the bank told them how to set up the mortgages, which were probably bundled with a bunch of others and sold off.  And then lastly we can thank our wonderfully trained lawyers who sat down and helped set up their LLC empire so they could harvest all the cash and then put the screws to everyone else in OUR country.  Everyone?  Yes, as every penny they screwed people out of, that's vendors, utilities, government agencies, will be passed onto the backs of every consumer in OUR country.  They've got to make up what they didn't get so we will see it in higher prices of everything and higher taxes.   But hey, they aren't the first ones to do this and they won't be the last.  And we've all been given a free (ha, ha) education from this.  Now, what did we learn?

Nicely put Sak, and nice to see you again.  I like what you said about education because I always tell people this journey through all this has been very educational.  I learned a whole nother aspect of hotels, real estate, etc.

I would have to say though I think 2 lessons everyone learned from this would be...save every paystub because you never know when you will be told to wipe your backside with it because that use is more then the actual value of the check that was attatched, and never ever work for a company that has a man named Charles Morais involved with it.

Hey, I haven't gone anywheres'.  I've just been lurking in the shadows!  One other lesson, with a home LLC kit, you too can defraud friends and many others for fun and profit plus get away with it (minus a few friends maybe).
